Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Sankri
Drive from Dehradun to Sankri (10 hours). This small village in Uttarkashi is the base camp. Stay overnight in a guesthouse or campsite to adjust to the altitude.
How to Reach Sankri:
- By road from Dehradun, Haridwar, or Rishikesh.
- By train/flight till Dehradun, then cab or bus to Sankri.
Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (5 km, 4–5 hours)
Trek begins through pine forests and small streams. Reach Juda Ka Talab, a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by tall trees. Camp overnight by the lake.
Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base (4 km, 3–4 hours)
The trail gets steeper. On the way, enjoy views of Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch. Stay overnight at Kedarkantha Base Camp.
Day 4: Kedarkantha Base to Summit & Back to Juda (6 km, 7–8 hours)
Start early morning to reach the Kedarkantha Summit. Witness breathtaking 360° views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Gangotri peaks. Descend to Juda Ka Talab for the night.
Day 5: Juda Ka Talab to Sankri (8 km, 5–6 hours)
Return to Sankri through the same forested trail. Evening free to relax.
Day 6: Departure from Sankri
